On a late winter’s day, after growing our metaphysical center, Quintessence, in Crystal Lake Illinois, for seven years, I turned to Jeff and said, “I think I am done with the store.” Ever accommodating, Jeff replied, “Well, then, what’s next?” After a moment’s ponder, I announced, “I have always wanted to live in California.”

That was the March 2006 full moon (an eclipse). On the September 2006 full moon (also an eclipse) we were arriving in our new home near the beach. Having convinced my elderly parents to journey with us, we sold houses, cars and the store while giving away much else. In California, we grew warmer and my parents grew younger.

We soon found that, living in the Golden State, we would be transformed in the alchemical sense, from what we were to what we would become.

Having our metaphysical center in Crystal Lake had suited us perfectly and we loved every day of being there, greeting and growing with the folks who visited, selecting top quality crystals and gifts to sell and offering valuable classes and services. We quickly discovered that our path in California would be different.

We still offered Jeff’s classes through existing centers, which were most welcoming. We enjoy meeting the California community. We still delighted in crystals, selling them online and at fairs. Jeff continued to offer personal guidance sessions by phone. Now, in Summer 2011, our friend Karen has invited us to offer crystals, readings and classes out of her beautiful space, Pura Vida Body Studio.  We now can, in partnership with Karen, again create a peaceful oasis, a space for gathering and growing.

We will still focus much of our attention on Jeff’s writings, channeled and fantasy, which offer comfort, guidance and hope in these times of unprecedented change. We believe the channeled chapters included here on our website will offer you encouragement and insight.
